# Sail

> Sail is a free web app that compares ride-hailing prices from Uber, Bolt and Yango in 24+ countries across Africa, Europe, Asia and South America. In Ghana it also plans trotro (shared minibus) journeys with fares, and in England, Scotland and Wales it finds buses with their fares. It runs in the browser at https://sailrides.co and is built in Ghana by 233 Engineering.

Sail shows prices and directions; it does not set fares. Ride prices and availability come from each ride app and can change before you book. Trotro fares combine verified fares with estimates, and riders can report corrections. Bus times come from published timetables and do not include live delays.

## What Sail does

- Compares Uber, Bolt and Yango prices and pickup times for the same trip, then opens the chosen ride app.
- Plans trotro journeys in Ghana: where to walk, board and get off, transfers, and fares.
- Finds buses in England, Scotland and Wales, with the operator's fare for your stops where published, where to board and where to get off.
- Shows a bus, trotro or Mashup trip on a map, then guides you stop by stop: where to board, which stop to tell the trotro mate, and how many stops are left.
- Mashup combines a car ride, trotro or bus, and short walks into trips planned around a budget you set, and shows the closest options when none fit.
- Filters results by rides or delivery services.
