Terms Overview

Welcome to Sail! These terms govern your use of sailrides.co and our services. By using Sail, you agree to these terms.

Sail is built and operated by 233 Engineering. Last updated: January 2026.

Independent Aggregator

Sail is an independent comparison and research tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with Bolt, Uber, Yango, or any other transportation provider unless explicitly stated in writing. Their names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used here solely to identify their services.

Sail does not provide transportation services and does not sell, arrange, or book rides on your behalf. Any ride request, payment, cancellation, refund, or dispute happens directly between you and the third-party provider under that provider’s terms.

How Sail Works

Sail helps you explore and compare transportation options by displaying estimated prices, ETAs, and service availability from various providers.

Information Only. Sail shows estimated prices and availability for informational purposes. These estimates are subject to change by the service provider at any time. The provider’s final price and terms always control.

Connected Session. When you connect a third-party account to Sail, you authorize us to use your authenticated session (“Connected Session”) solely to retrieve and display information to you. Your Connected Session means the login credentials and session tokens from your own account that you control. Sail uses your Connected Session only to perform actions you request and to display results to you.

What We Don’t Do. Sail does not attempt to bypass access controls, CAPTCHAs, rate limits, or other security measures. We do not store your passwords.

Estimates Can Change. Prices and availability displayed on Sail may differ from what you see when you open the provider’s app or confirm a booking. Always verify the final price in the provider’s app before confirming.

Third-Party Data & Access

User-Directed Access. All requests to third-party services are initiated by you, the user. Sail acts as a tool to present results from providers based on your requests.

No Bulk Extraction. You may not use Sail to systematically extract, collect, or harvest data from third-party providers at scale.

No Resale or Redistribution. You may not republish, redistribute, or resell any pricing, availability, or other data obtained through Sail. You may not create datasets, databases, or APIs from provider data without explicit written permission.

Caching. Sail may temporarily cache provider responses for short periods solely to improve performance and reliability. We do not build or maintain historical price databases.

Session Security. If you connect a third-party account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. You may disconnect your account at any time.

Third-Party Services

When you access or use any third-party service through Sail (including but not limited to Bolt, Uber, and Yango), you must comply with their terms, policies, and applicable laws.

Provider Terms Apply. You acknowledge that:

  • You are entering into a contract directly with the transportation provider, not Sail
  • Sail is not responsible for the accuracy of provider pricing, driver behavior, or ride availability
  • You must comply with the Terms of Service of each respective provider

Your Representations. By connecting a third-party account, you represent that:

  • You have the right to use that account
  • You are not violating the provider’s terms by connecting it to Sail
  • You will not use Sail in any way that breaches your agreement with the provider

Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Sail to:

  • Interfere with or disrupt third-party services
  • Generate fake ride requests or quotes
  • Spoof your location to manipulate pricing
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or refresh loops to query providers
  • Probe or exploit surge pricing or dispatch algorithms
  • Attempt to extract data at scale for purposes other than personal use
  • Circumvent restrictions, security measures, or access controls
  • Reverse engineer Sail or any third-party service accessed through Sail
  • Violate any provider’s terms of service or applicable laws
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any data obtained through Sail

Working Together

To make Sail great for everyone, we ask that you:

  • Share accurate information
  • Keep your account and connected sessions secure
  • Use the service for personal comparison purposes
  • Follow your local transportation rules
  • Comply with all third-party provider terms

Termination. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you’re violating these terms, third-party terms, or creating legal risk for Sail or others. We may also restrict certain providers, regions, or features at any time to reduce risk.

Disclaimers & Limitations

No Warranties. Sail is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that results will be accurate, complete, or up to date, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sail and 233 Engineering will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or service interruptions arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event, or $50 USD if you paid nothing.

Consumer Law Notice. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the above exclusions may not apply, and you may have additional rights.

Indemnification. If your use of Sail (including your Connected Sessions or connected third-party accounts) violates any third-party terms or laws, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Sail and 233 Engineering harmless from resulting claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees). We may participate in the defense of any claim at our expense.

Third-Party Actions. Sail is not responsible if a provider restricts, suspends, or terminates your access to their services for any reason, including your use of comparison tools.

Legal

Governing Law. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.

Changes to Terms. We may update these terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision. Continued use of Sail after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Severability. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Entire Agreement. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Sail regarding your use of the service.

No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

Force Majeure. We will not be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Intellectual Property. All third-party marks, logos, and brand names belong to their respective owners. Their use on Sail is nominative, solely to identify the services being compared. If a provider requests removal of their marks, we may comply.
