Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Sail and 233 Engineering process information when you use sailrides.co, the Sail platform, or Sail’s public Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Last updated: August 2026.
Data Collection
We process the information needed to return the searches and comparisons you request:
- Place-search text and selected place IDs
- Pickup, destination, and nearby-search coordinates
- Route results, ride estimates, prices, and pickup times
- Technical information such as IP address, request metadata, rate-limit activity, and service errors
- Saved locations, search history, and account information when you choose to use those features
The public MCP tools do not require a Sail account. They accept only the place and trip-planning information described in their tool schemas, and they cannot book, track, or cancel rides.
Location Services
The Sail website requests device location only with your permission. You can change that permission in your browser. An MCP client may send coordinates that you provide or approve as part of a place or trip search.
We use coordinates to find nearby places, calculate routes, and request current transport estimates.
How We Use and Store Data
We use this information to provide search results, operate anonymous rate limits, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and improve service reliability.
Sail keeps browser data on your device when a feature can work locally. Our systems may also store ride searches and returned price data, temporarily cache map results, and record operational logs that include IP addresses and search-completion metadata. Anonymous rate-limit identifiers expire within one hour.
Security
We use safeguards designed to protect Sail and the information it processes, including encrypted network connections, access controls, request limits, and regular security updates. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
